Bucky's Scarecrow Rally  September 26^th to October 12^th 2009

Welcome to the 5^th Annual Scarecrow Rally!  Along with the locations listed below you will most likely see many more Scarecrows along your way.  See the back of this form for information about the exciting prize to be won.  Also, take the time to fill in your favourite display and vote for the Viewer=s Choice.

Take some pictures, take your time and take away some wonderful memories!

1) Starting in Buckhorn at the lights, head north on County Road 36 towards Bobcaygeon.  About 4 km along the route you can begin our Rally at Kawartha Country Wines, on your left – How many scarecrows are in the display?____________

2) Continuing on about 3 km. turn right at Flynn's Corners.  Take 507 to #2170 on the left (approx.5 km north of Flynn's Corners) B What are the scarecrows playing? __________________________________________________

RETRACE YOUR ROUTE BACK TO BUCKHORN.  At the lights, turn left (east) on #36 towards Burleigh Falls.

Please note that all of the following locations are accessible (bridge is closed much farther down the road)

3) Continue about 4 k to Gallery on the Lake. What  is on the T shirt? _____________________________

4) Continuing, turn right on Hill Drive for ¾ km.  Turn right on Island Drive, right on Island Terrace. At 2419  What colour is the client thinking about for her room?____________________________ 

7) Continue over the bridge, on the right at Buckhorn Hardware, What is the colour of the scarecrows’

 shirts?_______________________

8) A little further on the left at Buckhorn Foodland,  What  colour is the child’s shirt?________________________

9) Following #23 south approx. 7 km (between Little Mud Lake & Birchbend) to #2619 on the left, What colour is the lady’s hat?________________________________

 RETRACE YOUR ROUTE BACK TO THE LIGHTS IN BUCKHORN.  Turn left (west) onto Lakehurst Road.

10) On your left visit the Buckhorn District Tourist Association=s Booth for information about our beautiful area -  What  sport does one of the scarecrows play? ________________________________________________________________

12) Further along on your right, look at the display under the tent at St. Matthews/St. Aidans, How many angels are in the

display? _________________________

13) On the left at Mainstreet Landing, What are the scarecrows eating?___________________________

14) Further on the left at the Buckhorn General Store, What colour are the scarecrows’ hats? ________________

15) At Allora’s Pizza,  What are the scarecrows doing? ___________________________________

16) Just round the bend on the left, What instrument is the scarecrow playing? __________________________

17) At Bucky’s Books,  How many scarecrows?________________________________________

19) Turn left at George Street (at the library) and take a look at the scarecrows at the Buckhorn Day Care & Nursery School.  What colour are the swimmer’s fins?_____________________________

20) Back on Lakehurst Road, take the next right on William Street. At #864 – What colour vest is the adult scarecrow wearing? __________________________________

21) Return to Lakehurst Road and turn left on to Adam & Eve Road.  At #829 - How many kids are playing? ________

22) Back on Lakehurst Road turn left (west) with a stop at the Buckhorn Community Centre B What colour are the eyes of the Tai Chi scarecrows?_________________________________________________

23) Across the road at the school - What is the theme of the scarecrow display? ___________________________                                                                                                                

24) Further along take a look at the scarecrows on your left hand side at #1703 Lakehurst Road.  What farm chore is the scarecrow doing? ____________________________________________

25) Continuing on Lakehurst Road about 1 km to Six Foot Bay Road.  Turning left here follow the road approx. 3 km to Scotsman Point Resort & Tea Room (#263 Six Foot Bay Road)  What is the smallest instrument? _________________

26) Going back a few yards, follow the signs to Bayside Boutique by going through Six Foot Bay Golf Resort.  What  are they having for lunch? ____________________________________________

27) Return to Lakehurst Road and turn left (west)  Further on about 1 km look to your right (at #1160 Lakehurst Road) – What colour is the wheelbarrow?__________________________________

From here, you can head back to Buckhorn and drop your completed Rally Sheet into one of the Ballot Boxes B conveniently located at the Buckhorn Community Centre or the Buckhorn District Tourist Association.

You could win a $100 gift certificate at a local Buckhorn restaurant of your choice.  In order to win you need to answer at least 21 questions. The winning Rally Sheet will be randomly selected on October 14^th from all the Rally Sheets entered

 and the winner will be notified by phone.
