Saturday, September 27, 2008 11 a.m. - 2 p.m.	The Buckhorn Daycare and Nursery School officially opened on November 11, 1983. Please join us at an Open House as we celebrate our 25th Anniversary.  In conjunction with the Harvey Volunteer Community Policing Group, there will be: Car Seat Safety Inspection Child Identification Kits A BBQ with proceeds going to both organizations Open House - check out the Daycare facility and playground A brief presentation to commemorate this special anniversay will be made at 12:00 With the support of our community we have come a long way! Saturday, October 4, 2008 11a.m. to 4 p.m.	Colours 'n' Crows Carnival.   Be sure to join us for a great afternoon for all ages. All activities will take place in Festival Park, right behind Buckhorn Community Centre. Here's some of what will be going on at the Carnival: 11- 4 - Live Country Sing-along Music by Woody Farrow. Watch for the spoon lady! 11 - 4 - Carnival Games for the kids. Pick up your passport and have it stamped at each of the games. Once your card is filled you qualify for a prize! No charge for carnival games. Magic Shows by Jay's Magic. Stunning illusions and magic tricks. Entertainment for all ages. No charge for admission. Times to be announced.   11 - 4 - Scarecrow-Making Workshops. Once again we offer you the opportunity to make your own scarecrow creation with assistance from the experts! Kits with all necessary supplies to make one scarecrow will be sold for $5.00 each.  Bring your own scarecrow clothing if possible. Some items of old clothing will be available for those who need them. 11 - 4 - Lots of great food, all at family prices. Enjoy a barbecued hot dog, hamburger or sausage - with fried onions if you'd like! Also available will be cold drinks, coffee, hot chocolate, ice cream and popcorn. Something for everyone!
